AICE Media Studies

  For my magazine I have been on the lookout for fonts to use. I started searching online, but didn't go too far due to how the sites with these fonts were super annoying to keep copying and pasting and most sites would have fonts that were nice but you had to pay for them and when you would click on free it would give you one sad page of fonts instead of 26. I then decided to go on Word and try out fonts there. On Word is where I found the most font choices and it is very easy to access as well. Photoshop is also somewhere I have been looking for fonts. I am still figuring out weather or not I will use serif or sans-serif fonts (maybe both?!).   I began copying and pasting the fonts I like on a Word Document to visually see them all together and which one I like the most. I did it for the title MUSE and AV ( YES I still do not know which title I should do, like I think Muse matches more, but AV is more personal and original so...) just to see which one looks better and ma...

  For my photo shoot I already have my models (My two good friends Jennifer and Denise), myself included. I am planning on taking the photos outside since my apartment is too small to have a whole photo session. Outside of my building there are some pretty spots with nice greenery and we could use some props like a shopping cart or a Polaroid camera, little things that are easy to take around outside. Outside I have some nice blank walls as well, where I can take photos in front of and change the color of the background if I want and easily edit. FOR SURE I will use natural lighting, because I really do love how natural light looks rather than artificial. Also if I want to take pictures outside it would be more convenient than taking out lights for the photos or buying lights that I cannot afford. Th photos will be taken from 2 to 5??   SO I plan to have changes in outfits, I do not know exactly how many wardrobe changes we will have,  but hopefully enough for the time...

  For my magazine I came up with a long ( veryyy long) list of names that I liked and think sounded nice. Since I am doing a a fashion magazine I want a name that is fun but also sophisticated and elegant. To help me have an idea of what I am going for I wrote a list of names of brands and artists that I like from brand names like Dior and Channel to celebrity names like the one and only Madonna and Lana Del Rey. I then listed the top 12 names that I liked the most to further narrow down my choices.  My magazine is a high class fashion magazine so I want a name that matches that. I decided that after today's planning I will have 4 main title ideas for my magazine. I think I have asked my whole family what name out of the five sound best. On my board I have included a ton (LIKE ALOT) of photos that have a similar vibe and aesthetic that I want my magazine to have. Most photos look very retro and artistic, which is the look I am going for. The photos are also helping me see how some people pose for photos and their set up. Since I don't have a budget to get a studio or anything fancy I am planning on taking the photos outside of my building in my parking lot or out in the streets during daylight hours. I feel like even if I did have studio lights I would not use them anyways.
