Feature Spreads

Image result for Natalia Vodianova W Magazine    In the first issue, its main feature includes many photos of the woman on the cover joined with a little text to credit the writer, photographer, and the designer of what she is wearing. Then the following pages talk about the model on the cover and her personal life. They interview her about her family and her success and what she is saying is illustrated by including pictures that surround the text with small captions under them. The feature spread is ten pages long.

Feature spread begins with a number of pages of the girl on the cover with small quotes of things she has said or have been said about her. The photo, writing, and designer credit are included usually at the top or bottom right of each photo. Then there is a page where she talks about her accomplishments and her life. The writing begins with a drop cap and uses serif font.

Begins with images of the girl in the cover with designer clothing. The credits are included like the the first and second magazine. There is then two pages of writing where she is talked about and she talks about herself as well. It is then followed by more photographs of her with their credits. The feature article is a total of 12 pages.

I noticed how they always began introducing who the girl on the main cover is by mentioning her and her accomplishments. The text then goes and becomes like an interview since they include her actual responses to questions mention in the article. I would like my magazine to also start this way and be an interview in a way as well. I noticed how all three issues never stop including the credits, so I will keep that in mind when inputting photos for my own magazine. The one thing I will not be doing is making my feature spreads as long as 12 pages. Overall, I will use my research and hope to incorporate some of the codes used in W magazine in my own.
